What is a Portrait Mini Session?
A portrait mini session or mini session as most call it is a bit different than a regular portrait session. There are really three major differences between regular portrait sessions and mini portrait sessions. The first difference is the amount of time allotted for the session. Mini sessions are normally limited to about 20 minutes, where normal portrait session last between 1-2 hours. The second difference is the location on the mini session. Mini sessions are normally restricted to a single location, where normal portrait sessions are a bit more mobile. The third difference is the number of edited photos that you receive. Mini sessions include 5 edited print ready images rather than the 15-25 that you would get with a regular portrait session.
Why should I consider Portrait Mini Sessions?
Portrait mini sessions are a great idea for the parent who loves to get pictures taken several times a year rather than just once or twice. The shorter session time and smaller image count allow me to make the mini sessions more affordable than the regular portrait session.
When are your Portrait Mini Sessions available?
My mini portrait sessions are considered special sessions and are not available all year round. I normally try to do 4-6 mini sessions a year that are normally children based with some type of holiday theme to them. In the passed I’ve done Valentine Mini Sessions, Christmas Mini Sessions, Valentines Mini Sessions, Summer Mini Sessions, Spring Mini Sessions, Halloween Mini Sessions, Back to School Mini Sessions and Mother’s Day Mini Sessions. If you’re curious about my mini portrait session you can click here to see my portfolio.
How long will it take to get my Mini Session Portraits back?
My goal is to have all of your mini portrait session images posted to a private online gallery within 24 hours. You’ll then select the images that you would like to have and then I will take your selected images and begin the editing process. The portrait editing process normally takes me about two weeks. At that point I will have a disk of your edited mini portrait session photos ready for you to pick up. I can also ship the images to you via mail for an additional fee.
Where can I find out when you have Portrait Mini Sessions?
About a month before my mini sessions I’ll start posting announcements on my website and on my Facebook page. Make sure to check in a few weeks before holidays to see if I’ll be doing any mini sessions.
